How does it Happen?

So one minute its autumn and the next we are shoveling snow from the walkway. That's Michigan for Ya. I think the older I get the faster time passes and the days get shorter. And I mean that. I just get the day started and it is getting dark again. It really is hard to get anything done when it's dark and so cold most of the time. I now know why people go south in the winter. Oh man did I just say that, yikes I AM getting old. Well I will just have to find some way to past the time. I know I will pet my dog, knit, sew, cook and eat. Ah life is good.

We had a fun fall. Football games (not so much) two weekends in Ann Arbor (oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about) fall yard work(good for exercise) all culminating in a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with the family.

There is no other meal I enjoy making as much as Thanksgiving dinner. It's great for several reasons, the menu is set, no gifts or decorating required, just elastic waistbands and unlimited deserts. Wow. I loved that my folks where able to come, so special to have family here.

Saturday following the holiday we went to Ann Arbor for a ball game. I was so glad that Andy and Sarah where able to come and also Adams folks because it was a great game that went into overtime with us finally winning. After the game we went for dinner at the Japanese steak house which is always a good time.

Since the weekend it has snowed everyday and we are getting more tomorrow. Frodo doesn't mind it but he does get cold easily. I tried his socks on him but they came right off (he hated them anyway, can you tell?)
