Since we have lived in our old farm house in this bucolic setting just outside of our little town of Cass City the Amish have also discovered the area. About 18 years ago they started to populate the area and set up a new community here in the Thumb. The Jonas Kemp family live down and across the road from us. We used to have a vegetable garden until we found they do a much better job and started buying all our veggies from them. They also have strawberries, raspberry's and fresh turkeys at the holiday time. We have gotten so used to the buggy's going by that we hardly notice anymore but every once in a while there is a wedding or church when many of the area family will gather. This friday morning it seems the Kemp family was hosting and the buggy's went by in threes for about a half hour. This just gives you a taste of what we see.
