Furniture Refashioning... What?

Yup I did it. Pulled a perfectly good chair out to the deck and had my way with it (by that I mean I painted it). And, not just a chair I did a sofa too!  No I am not crazy. Just adventurous. Hey nothing is forever, right?  Why should we live with furniture we are tired of and not refashion it? So get out your leftover paints and have at it. These I sanded a bit and then painted loosely with cream colored off white paint. Then sanded them again so they look distressed. I love it. Now I am looking for just the right new upholstery for them. Tired of the gold and ready for something calm and light. I would love an old velvet, or a linen in a cream color but with a dog I'm thinking not. So the search is on for the perfect fabric. If anyone knows where I can get some on the cheap let me know.
