Amber Waves of Grain

It has been a perfect growing season so far for the farmers. Since I have been walking Frodo in the wee hours of the morning I have grown to love the peace and beauty of the fields around our home in a way I never have in the 17 years we have lived in the country. This year we have wheat planted all around us. I have watched it go from sage green to this beautiful golden and now it is all gone to straw as the harvest took place last week.
