Flowers in the Snow
It's snowing here in Michigan and that means I am cozy in my snowing ( I mean Sewing ) room. So here is todays project. Dolly (my enabler friend) gave me this sweater that she bought at the thrift store and felted. She knows I love a good thrift store sweater. I made a toddlers hat out of the body of the sweater by cutting up the side seams and then sewed them together to achieve the hat shape utilizing the ribbing at the bottom for the brim. Then sewed it across the top for a floppy effect. Then turned it right side out and applied the flower petals down the front. You like?
So now I had all these fun petals and what else could I do but make flower broaches for blazers, coats, purses and headbands. This was fun. I used vintage buttons that I have collected for the centers. I think I'm on to something.............
