New Stuff for Spring

I have been in a creating whirl so here are a few of my latest projects. First up is a tote made from a felted sweater purchased at the thrift store. It is made with only two seams and then some appliqués made from the scraps.

Next up is leather. I have been wanting to try sewing on leather for some time now. After pricing it at the fabric store I decided to forgo that huge price and pick up a coat at the thrift store to experiment on. The coat was a super soft lambs leather and sewed up like a charm. I was shocked at how easy it was. So here is a hobo bag I made from one of the sleeves. I decided to make this one inside out so the exterior would be suede. 

I have another large one in the works but I don't love it yet so will post that later along with some other cool things made from the leather. Needless to say I have been on a thrift store buying binge and have a stash of leather coats waiting in the wings.

But I never stay on one thing for long so here are some springy bracelets I have been working on this week Three are made on memory wire from the craft store and the other is strung then I used a sterling toggle for the clasp.
